Wayne Rooney will miss the start of the season after picking up a virus in Nigeria. Wayne Rooney has been an integral part of Manchester United’s recent success and Manchester United will certainly miss his striking presence.
Ferguson has expressed his concern over his squad, with Manchester United set to face Portsmouth in the community shield on Sunday with Rooney and Ronaldo injured and Anderson competing at the Olympic Games.
